The Powerbeats Pro wireless earbuds are the best in the market. These Bluetooth earbuds are among the most desirable, thanks to their excellent design, sound quality, connectivity and long battery life.
Over the course of one week, we tested almost continuously the Powerbeats Pro. They were easy to use, comfortable and enjoyable to listen to. Each word, every note and beat was perfectly delivered. You'll find it difficult to locate the battery limit with their physical controls. They will cost you more, however.
The look and feel of the Powerbeats Pro makes them seem like they'd be worn by a crewman on the Starship Enterprise. But that's not a bad thing—they're quite stylish and should compliment any outfit nicely, especially if you get black like we did. You can also get them in Ivory and Navy as well as Moss.
Powerbeats Pro is made of durable and high-quality materials. The Powerbeats Pro can withstand a lot, including being dropped in dirt and sweat, dropped in bags, carried in pockets, and thrown around in bags.
If they do get dirty, it's easy to wash them. They look fantastic if you just wipe them with your thumb. Ear adapters are flexible and shapely so it is easy to prevent earwax buildup.
These earbuds can be adjusted to fit your ears with the adjustable hooks. They won't fall out no matter how hard you work. The Powerbeats Pros will stay in your ears until you remove them.
These earbuds can be difficult to fit. They took more than 10 seconds to insert into our ears after we had used them for over a week. They are not as easy to insert as conventional earbuds. It takes a lot of skill to achieve the right angle and pivot. You will need to play with them for several days before they become muscle memory.
Their quick response and consistency in responding to our calls was impressive.
The physical controls are where wireless earbuds shine. You can press the button at the middle to play/pause or skip ahead, but you also have three options: press it twice for skip forward and again to go backward. If you are paired with Apple devices, a long pressing on any of these buttons will summon Siri. Although it may seem like a small amount, this control is essential for wireless earbuds.
These Powerbeats stand out from AirPods competitors because of their physical volume controls. You can adjust the volume of each earbud individually using the volume rocker on each bud. This feature is not available with other wireless headphones.
Powerbeats Pro uses the Apple H1 headphones chip. This is the same chip used in Apple AirPods. It allows for quick pairing and easy switching between devices. This also makes it compatible with Hey Siri, Apple's voice assistant. We were amazed at their speed and the consistency with which Siri answered our calls when we tested them. Siri was able to comprehend our commands much better than our iPhone X.
These headphones are claimed to last for nine hours. This is a gross understatement. The Powerbeats Pro was continuously running music, podcasts and videos during our tests. The battery took much longer than Battery Life approximately 9 hours to fully drain.
The earbuds last more than 14 hours on the first day. It lasted for 13 hours and 11 hours, respectively, on the second and third days. These earbuds seem to be capable of sustaining you for the entire day, without the need to charge.
This charging case prolongs the battery life of wireless earbuds. The case will fully charge your earbuds in approximately 45 minutes. It can also provide a good power source in a matter of minutes.
The Powerbeats' battery life is extended by a fully charged case, provided you are not an avid power user. It takes approximately two hours for the battery to fully charge, even if it runs out. The included lightning cable makes it easy.
It is very sturdy. The case's tough plastic construction makes it very durable and resists short drops. It also protects your earbuds well. We dropped it a number of times during our testing—on sidewalk concrete, grass, carpet, and hardwood floors—and it still doesn't have a scratch.
The charging case can be carried around, but it is too heavy to keep in your pocket or hand for extended periods of time. If you plan to bring the charging case along with you on your trips, you'll want it to be in a bag or purse.
It is sometimes difficult to place the headphones in the case. This is due to the shape of the earbuds, so it can sometimes feel a little difficult getting them in the correct way.
Bluetooth range for the Powerbeats Pro depends on which device is paired and its location. Our iPhone X could be paired up with the Powerbeats Pro and we were able to reach more than 100 feet before losing connection. If the iPhone X was paired to an iMac it could reach 30 feet if there were no walls or outdoor.
The Powerbeats Pro might take some time to get used to, especially if you aren't familiar with earbuds using in-ear adapters. The Powerbeats Pro, however, are more comfortable than other wireless in-ear earphones, such as the Sennheiser HD1 free. We never had to remove them from our tests because they were uncomfortable. You may not even notice they are there until you become used to the way they feel inside your ears.
Three pairs of adapters are included in the Powerbeats Pro. You can mix and match adapters of different sizes so that you find the best fit for your needs.
The Powerbeats Pro's great features would be useless if it didn’t have top-quality sound quality. But they do—fantastically. We listened to hundreds of hours worth of audiobooks and podcasts during our testing. Also, we watched music videos and movies on YouTube and Netflix. The sound throughout was clear, powerful, clear and rich.
It was clear and rich in sound, which made it powerful.
The Powerbeats are known for their noise isolation, which is a major reason why they sound great. Ear adapters create a barrier between your ears and the world outside. It is important that you choose the one that fits your best.
This level of sound quality and design is not cheap. While the price of $249.95 (MSRP), was not surprising, you will be wondering if you really require high-quality earbuds. We think once you have tried the Powerbeats Pro it will be easy for you to believe that they are worth your money.
These earbuds will be your last for at least the next few years.
The Powerbeats Pro are well worth it if you regularly use your earbuds. The Powerbeats Pro are worth the investment if you exercise a lot or consume lots of media. They're likely to last for at least several years.
We noticed that these wireless headphones functioned like Apple AirPods during our tests, with automatic pairings with iOS devices and integration with Apple's ecosystem.
These differences are minor but significant. The charging case for Powerbeats Pro does not feature wireless charging, unlike the AirPods second generation. This is something that you would expect to find in a $50-plus product, even though it was made by an Apple subsidiary. The Powerbeats Pro also offers more physical controls. AirPods can only be controlled by voice, therefore physical buttons or volume controls are not available. This dramatically changes the user's experience.
The earbuds are worth the price.
The Beats Powerbeat Pro was our favorite wireless earbuds for over a week. We had so much fun with them! These wireless headphones have everything: excellent sound quality, battery life and easy physical controls. For power users—those who more or less live with headphones in—their quality is worth the price.
