Alternatives to Tachiyomi

There are several alternative manga reading apps available for Android that you might consider using if Tachiyomi does not meet your needs. Here are a few popular options:

Manga Rock: A popular manga reading app that offers a large collection of manga titles in various languages. It has a simple and intuitive layout, offline reading, and the flexibility to personalize the reading experience.

Manga Zone: Another popular manga reading app that offers a wide variety of manga titles in multiple languages. It offers offline reading, the ability to create reading lists, and the option to personalize the reading experience.  Sadly, the company has ceased operations. Manga Rock has been removed from the internet and the Android Market has removed the Manga Rock APK. They are rebranding and reestablishing their company from the ground up.

Manga Rock

The company intends to build a new platform under their new brand, MR Comics. This portal intends to make comics available to fans worldwide. The company has almost a decade of experience developing technology and catering to manga enthusiasts, indicating its huge potential. Multiple YouTube commentators have already shown their support.

Manga Storm is a simple and lightweight manga reading application that enables users to view manga from a variety of sources. It includes features such as offline reading, the ability to customize the reading experience, and the ability to create reading lists.

Is There Some Open-source Manga Reader Applications for iOS Devices

Unfortunately, I am not aware of any open-source manga reading applications for iOS devices that are currently being actively maintained. Tachiyomi is an Android-exclusive, open-source manga reading application.

There are some manga reading apps available for iOS devices that are not open-source, such as Crunchyroll, Manga Storm, Manga Rock, etc. But these apps are not open-source and you can't modify their code as per your need.

However, as the iOS ecosystem is quite closed compared to Android, there may be less of an incentive for developers to create open-source manga reading apps for iOS. Additionally, developing and publishing an app on the iOS App Store can be more difficult and expensive than on the Google Play Store.

It's worth keeping an eye on GitHub and other development communities for any new open-source manga reading apps for iOS that may be in development, but at this moment I'm not aware of any open-source manga reader for iOS.
