FuboTV channels, prices, plans, packages, and add-ons

FuboTV might be the answer to your cord-cutting prayers if you appreciate sports, especially now that the World Cup 2022 has begun. What is FuboTV, exactly? It's a livestreaming service that mostly focuses on live sports TV and can assist you in cutting the cord permanently. With over 1.23 million users, it is currently ranked fourth in the United States and is growing in popularity.

The pricing and services offered by FuboTV, as well as the channels available, compete with companies several times its size. You have options, which is one great thing about the streaming business as a whole. That aspect is equally challenging. It can be challenging to tell FuboTV and Hulu With Live TV apart. Or compare YouTube TV to FuboTV. What sets one apart from the others?

We'll look at the channels, costs, and other features of FuboTV, as well as what makes it different and a viable alternative in 2022.

Cost and future plans for FuboTV

The four alternatives offered by Fubo TV are Fubo Pro, Fubo Elite, Fubo Ultimate, and Fubo Latino, with monthly prices ranging from $70 to $100.

Following are FuboTV's overall costs:

The new base bundle, Fubo Pro, costs $70 per month and comes with 133 channels. You will receive 1,000 hours of cloud-based DVR, which gives you the option to "record" shows to watch at a later time. You will also have access to up to 10 displays at home and two screens outside of your home network. Fubo describes this as being "infinite" yet having a clear restriction.

Fubo Elite has 192 channels (including 130+ events in 4K), 47 channels from Fubo Extra, and 12 channels from News Plus, for a total of 251 channels, and it costs $80 a month. You continue to have access to 10 "unlimited" screens at home and two on the go, and the DVR's 1,000-hour limit remains in place.

FuboTV

Fubo Ultimate costs $100 per month and offers the same extra channels as Elite — 47 Fubo Extra and 12 News Plus channels — along with 231 channels (including 130+ 4K events). Additionally included are Showtime and Sports Plus with NFL Redzone (24 stations), 1,000 hours of cloud-based DVR, 10 unrestricted screens, and two away from home. Our overall number now stands at 290 channels.

Fubo Latino has 46 channels of content with a Latino focus and costs $75 for three months. It also has a cloud DVR with a 250-hour storage capacity. You are limited to using two screens at once with this plan.

An first seven days are free with each of these choices. Although there is no discount for paying three months in advance, you can pay monthly or quarterly.

FuboTV and 4K

Until recently, the only 4K live TV streaming provider in the United States was FuboTV. (Yes, upscaled to 4K.) No natural ability to speak.) Live sports were the only thing available and still are, but it's still better than nothing. However, there is still a dearth of activity, with just one game or race per day. (The full FuboTV 4K schedule is available here.)

Additionally, YouTube TV also broadcasts comparable events from NBC Sports and Fox, making it clear that FuboTV is no longer the only 4K service in town. One notable change for 2022 is the removal of free 4K programming from FuboTV's Pro plan. Similar to YouTube TV, you'll have to pay to view a show in 4K resolution. Therefore, you must choose the $80-per-month Elite package over the $70/month Pro plan. There's that. That's still $5 less than YouTube TV's $85 monthly 4K video subscription charge ($65 for the base plan and $20 for the 4K Plus bundle).

The standard warnings are still in effect. Any other device you use to watch Fubo TV must also support 4K resolution, and you will require a TV with a 4K panel.

The notification read, "Your membership will be changed to a new plan, since our Fubo Starter plan, certain previously-offered bundles, and legacy packages are no longer available."

The plan you currently subscribe to "won't be offered, and your membership will be switched to a new plan," subscribers will be informed through email.

Users of the Fubo Start plan who make quarterly payments are also impacted by the change, since the Fubo Pro plan now costs $209.97 per quarter rather than $194.96 for three months.

FuboTV started experimenting with quarterly-only subscription plans for new subscribers in February (a short-lived experiment that lasted about a week).

One significant distinction is that customers who pay for fuboTV subscriptions through Roku accounts won't see any adjustments to services or prices.

On its website, Fubo said: "At this time, we will not be making any changes to Roku-billed subscriptions."

The monthly cost of Fubo Pro is about $5 greater than that of Fubo Starter. It offers up to 10 home screens, live sports from NBA TV, MLB Network, and NHL Network, as well as entertainment channels from the GAC Family and the new Magnolia Network, the latter of which required a $8 fubo Extra add-on for the Starter plan. It also offers the same channels as the Starter plan, offering 120 and more than 130 events in 4K, as well as 1,000 hours of cloud DVR space.
