Getting rid of a savings or checking account

Speak with a personal banker by going to a nearby financial institution.
Dial 800.432.1000 to reach us.
Write to Bank of America at FL1-300-01-29, PO Box 25118, Tampa, FL 33622-5118 with your request. Tell us how you would want to receive your account balance, if there is one, and make sure that all account owners sign the letter.

How can I file a credit card complaint?

Consider contacting the merchant first before filing a claim because they might be able to handle it more quickly (we may also require information from the merchant to process a claim, so contacting them directly may save you time).

Additionally, if you have any immediate concerns about a pending charge, you might wish to get in touch with the merchant. This is because only posted transactions can be contested (pending charges are transient and may change). On your invoice or receipt, you should discover the merchant's contact information.

Most credit card disputes can be submitted immediately by Online Banking clients by clicking the Dispute a transaction link under the Information & Services tab or the transaction information found in the Activity tab on your credit card account page.

Log in to Online Banking to access the credit card dispute procedure.

Not a customer of online banking? Sign up for online banking now.

It's critical to notify people on time. Most transactions need to be contested within 60 days of the statement date where the problem first surfaced. Please get in touch with us right away if you don't think your information was stolen and you didn't give the merchant in question your account information.
